We will be going to 3 places in Lindale: Old Mill Pond Museum (self-guided tour of history circa 1850-1950), Lindale Candy Company (tour of candy-making facility), and lunch at Darden Harvest Park nearby. Subjects for that day will be History and Food Science. Dress comfortably!

We will be going to 3 places:
10:00 a.m. Old Mill Pond Museum at 2900 S. Main Street, Lindale, TX 75771
There will be historical displays from early American life circa 1850-1950. It is situated on 20+ acres. Among some of the attractions are a model train exhibit, a water wheel, blacksmith shop, a general store, and food to feed fish and turtles. They ask that we be mindful of their historical items - do not touch, do not climb on the cars and tractors, and do not pick up the rocks along the pond. The self-guided tour will take about an hour. Admission is free, but they do accept donations. Please RSVP by Monday, September 28th, because I need to submit a headcount from our group.
